· Open Baseball Divisions: U10, U12, U14 and *High School · Open Softball Divisions: U10, U12, U14, U16 and *High School **High School – player must still be attending high school for his/her Senior Year** There will not be a coaches' Pre-Season meeting. Please read this document carefully and contact the representatives for questions. Divisions will not be scheduled for the Fall League unless at least four teams are registered. In the event that there are not sufficient teams for a full division, registration fees will be returned. Provided there are enough teams in a particular division to warrant it, there may be a breakdown within that division for a Gold League (competitive teams) and Silver League (teams slightly less competitive). No spots will be held open for a team unless and until the full team roster and full participation fee has been remitted. The league will be filled on a first come basis. Cost per team: $700.00 -12U and older 10U Season Only $300.00 Refund Policy: All refund requests must be submitted before August 18, 2008. There will be an administrative fee of $150.00 for all refunds. No refunds will be approved after August 18. 2008. Season Admission: There will be no parking or admission charges for the regular season. Concessions will be available. Please do not bring outside food into the complex. Games: Season play – 5 Double headers for 12U and over divisions. 10U divisions will play 5 games Game Days: Games will be played predominantly on Saturdays and Saturday evenings and Sunday afternoons. Additional games during the week nights may be available. Regular Season Opening Day: Saturday, August 23, 2008 Season End: Sunday, September 28, 2008 Rain Outs: Games rained out will be made up on the week of September 29-October 5. Governing Rules: SYAA League rules & KSHSAA and ASA Age Participation: Baseball participation - age as of April 30, 2009 Softball participation - age as of January 1, 2009 Registration Forms: Softball Baseball Registration Deadline: August 15, 2008 Frequently Asked Questions: Do we have to stay with our Spring 2008 Ken Berry team? No, you can affiliate with a different team to play in Fall League. My 2008 team does not want to play Fall League, can I still play? Yes, talk to parents, coaches, and players from other teams and get together a total of 10-12 players from various teams and put together a team. Is there a player list of unaffiliated players that can be assigned out to a Fall League team? Yes, we are keeping a list of all individual players expressing interest in playing and will do our very best to get them onto a Fall League team. Will we play by the 2008 age division rules? No, the Fall League will be based on the player's age in 2009 and will play based on 2009 age division rules. This is an excellent opportunity to play ball and refine your team's skills. A player list will be maintained for those players who wish to play fall baseball but do not currently have a team. Every effort will be made to place individual players on a team, but the league will not guarantee individual player assignment to a team. There are no individual player league fees. Any fees imposed by a team that a player affiliates with will be between the player and that team, and the sole responsibility of the player. The league will not be responsible for resolving differences involving team equipment, uniforms or finances. There are no player participation rules in the Fall League. Each team will determine for itself who starts and the amount of playing time each player receives. Any questions or concerns about a players' playing time should be directed to that team's manager. |
