  1. The Ken Berry property is a smoke-free environment.
  2. USSSA rules & regulations apply except where spicific rules differ.
  3. Teams will need to supply one new and one good USSSA .47 optic yellow leather softball for each game.
    1. 11" softball for 8U and 10U.
    2. 12" softball for 12U, 14U and 16U.
  4. Continuous batting lineups will be used.
  5. Ejections:  A player ejection will result in the team losing that player for the entire game.  Her spot in the batting order WILL be an automatic out. A coach ejection will be for the remainder of that game and the next game.
  6. Courtesy runners can be used, see softball rules summary and age specific rules for specifics.
  7. Pitching: See summary and age specific rules for restirction info.
  8. Coin toss shall determine home team during pool play. Higer seed will dettermine home team during bracket play. The home team must supply the official scorekeeper and visiting team will run the scoreboard.
  9. NO infield practice will be allowed.
  10. NO practice on any complex field.
  11. Time limit for all games:  See summary and age specific rules for time limit info. Time begins after the 1st warm-up pitch. Time limit could change in case of tournament interruptions. All teams should be prepared to start their game up to 10 minutes early in case we are ahead of schedule. (This will help the tournament keep on time)
  12. Regulation games are defined by the type of game that it is.
      1. Pool play:  See Summary for Regulation Game length.  If the game is tied at the end of regulation, only 1 international tiebreaker inning will be played.
      2. Bracket Play:  See Summary for Regulation Game length.  Games that are tied at the end of regulation will use the ITB rule until a winner is declared.

  14. Batters are not allowed to step out of the batters box between pitches. One foot needs to be left in while taking signals.
  15. The following procedure will be used to determine the seedings after pool play:
    i. If three or more teams are tied with the same record in a division, head-to-head may or may not be used to break ties.
    ii. Once a level of tie-breaker is used, we DO NOT revert back to any steps of the tie-breaking procedure. We will continue on down the list until all ties are broken.
        1. Highest Winning Percentage (number of wins divided by number of games with a result (ties eliminated form formula))
        2. Most Wins
        3. Head-to-Head Games
        4. Runs allowed per game
        5. Coin Flip
  16. Teams need to have Proof of Insurance with them.
  17. No protests allowed.
  18. Anything not covered in the rules above will be determined by the Tournament Director and/or their designees.
  19. A fully stocked concession stand will be available during the tournament. NO OUTSIDE FOOD may be brought into the complex. Water bottles may be used for the players.
  20. ADMISSION FEE: $3.00 per day OR $5.00 for a weekend pass. The admission fee is for anyone 16 years of age and older.
  21. Refund policy: NO money will be refunded once the brackets are drawn. 100% will be refunded if the tournament is cancelled. 50% will be refunded if only one game is played. No refunds if two or more games are played.
